Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kai Kahawaimauna (ranked 4453 p4p, 4260 weight class) and Dong Hyun Ma (ranked 0 p4p, 424 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kai Kahawaimauna!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dong Hyun Ma!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ma drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Ma working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Ma advances nicely into full mount.
Ma takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Ma takes Kahawaimauna's back. Could be looking for a rear naked choke here - either way, Kahawaimauna is in trouble.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Ma controlling the positon.
That's one minute gone in the round.
It looks like Ma might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ma's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Ma working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Kahawaimauna is doing well to defend. Ma seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Kahawaimauna is forced to tap and this one is over!
