Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smashotti looks to land a combination but Robertson avoids it well.
Robertson throws a solid leg kick but Smashotti takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Robertson.

Smashotti has taken the fight to the clinch.

Robertson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Robertson throws a jab but it's blocked by Smashotti.

Smashotti has managed to clinch.
Robertson tries to break the clinch but Smashotti is controlling the position.

Robertson's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Smashotti doesn't manage to clinch there - Robertson circles away.

Robertson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Despite the aggression on Smashotti's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smashotti is looking to clinch.
Some wild striking there from Robertson.
Smashotti swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Robertson counters with a left and a right that stings Smashotti.

Robertson throws a low kick but it's checked well by Smashotti.

Robertson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
We've been told by Robertson's head coaches at California Top Team that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Robertson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Smashotti was well out of range. Poor timing from Robertson.

Smashotti drops Robertson with a right and a left! Smashotti comes rushing in but Robertson regains his composure and manages to keep Smashotti in guard.

It looks like Reece Robertson has been cut.
Robertson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Robertson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Smashotti takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Robertson fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Smashotti checks it well.
Robertson throws a hook to the side of Smashotti's head but Smashotti sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Robertson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Nice uppercut lands for Smashotti. That snapped Robertson's head back.
Smashotti will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A counter left hand to the body from Robertson misses its target.

Smashotti swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Robertson was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Smashotti looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Robertson lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Smashotti falls backwards - clearly groggy! Robertson dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
