Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sam Morril (ranked 3345 p4p, 23089 weight class) and Slaw Spud (ranked 352 p4p, 511 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Slaw Spud enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Morril! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Slaw Spud! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Anthony Taglia and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spud falls off balance throwing a combination
and Morril counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Spud fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. A slow jab from Spud misses its intended target. Morril throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Spud sees it coming and avoids it easily. Spud throws a combination that misses and Morril cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Morril scores with the left hand. Spud knows he should have avoided that one. Morril lands a nice looking kick to the body. Spud takes a step back to recover. Morril has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Morril lands with an uppercut that bounces Spud off the cage and back into range. Morril scores with a jab. Spud acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
It looks like Slaw Spud has been cut. Morril throws a leg kick which misses Spud's front leg but catches the back leg as Spud tries to avoid it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nice cross by Morril.
Spud is rocked! Spud scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Spud is still on wobbly legs! Can Morril finish him? Spud throws a left and a right that both miss
and Morril counters with a low kick, right behind Spud 's knee. Morril drops Spud with a naaaaasty hook - Spud is in real trouble here! Morril dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sam Morril! Sam Morril was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
