The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spud falls off balance throwing a combination
and Morril counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Spud fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
A slow jab from Spud misses its intended target.
Morril throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Spud sees it coming and avoids it easily.

and Morril cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Morril scores with the left hand. Spud knows he should have avoided that one.
Morril lands a nice looking kick to the body. Spud takes a step back to recover.
Morril has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Morril lands with an uppercut that bounces Spud off the cage and back into range.
Morril scores with a jab. Spud acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

It looks like Slaw Spud has been cut.
Morril throws a leg kick which misses Spud's front leg but catches the back leg as Spud tries to avoid it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
