The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McCready dips down and scores with a jab to the body. McCready works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
It looks like Marion Moore has been cut. McCready shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Moore has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McCready is working away from the top position though. McCready controlling the pace. Moore trying to hold on to McCready's head to control him but McCready postures up.
Moore really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McCready. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Moore is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Moore is trying to maintain the position but McCready is very close to passing his half guard. McCready is keen to just control but Moore is a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moore looking for submissions off his back. McCready is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Moore sees it coming and defends easily. McCready wants to stand up but Moore is controlling the position.
McCready seems to be working for a kimura but Moore defends the submission attempt. Moore trying to control but McCready postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. McCready is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Moore doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time McCready. McCready is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. McCready is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
McCready tries to pass the half guard into mount. Moore knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McCready is looking for a kimura here.
McCready is thwarting Moore's attempts to control the position. McCready is keen to just control but Moore is a slippery customer. Moore is looking for a sweep. McCready is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. McCready closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Moore is looking to control McCready's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Moore avoid being mounted? McCready works his way into side control. McCready wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Moore, who protects the arm well. McCready controlling the position. Moore tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but McCready wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McCready will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Moore scores with a takedown into McCready's guard. Moore avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Moore got a little sloppy there for a moment and McCready has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Moore has managed to get both his arms back between McCready's legs - danger averted. McCready looking to control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Moore is looking to stand up but McCready won't let him. McCready isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Moore stacks McCready on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Moore! Moore tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. McCready gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. McCready holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. McCready looking for submissions off his back. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. McCready gets back to full guard.
McCready keeping full guard, as Moore tries to pass. Moore won't allow McCready to sweep him here. Moore with a flurry of punches that miss. McCready has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Moore can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. McCready pushes Moore off and gets back to his feet. McCready shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. McCready trying to control the position from guard on top but Moore is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Moore is trying to keep McCready in close.

McCready looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Moore! McCready moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Moore has worked his arm free - good work by Moore!
Moore struggling a bit here. Moore is looking for a sweep. Moore is not content to let McCready control the position. McCready is really struggling to control Moore but he's trying to hold on to the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moore is trying to improve his position. Moore is being controlled here. McCready's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. McCready is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Moore is trying to escape and McCready transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Moore is forced to tap! Nice work there by McCready! Very nice indeed!
