The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Valdenius tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Pierre looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Valdenius is fending him off so far but Pierre persists. Nope, Valdenius circles away and we're back to standing. Valdenius closes the distance and pushes Pierre back into the cage. Pierre jumps guard and drags Valdenius to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Valdenius is sitting in close to Pierre's body. Pierre has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Valdenius is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Valdenius is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Pierre.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Georges Pierre! |
