The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Loco closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Hopson (0) vs (4) Loco
Hopson is looking to regain half guard here but Loco keeps moving and retains side control.
Hopson's coaches at Combat Wombat Burrow have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

Hopson has hold of Loco's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Loco manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
