Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kano Bright!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Wrestler Mcwrestle!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bright shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Bright was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Mcwrestle tries to improve position but can't.
Bright prevents Mcwrestle from escaping the position.
Mcwrestle gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Bright is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mcwrestle is just riding it out for now. Bright eventually gives up the hold.
Bright slips a nice elbow through Mcwrestle's hands, connecting with Mcwrestle's forehead.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mcwrestle looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Bright wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mcwrestle keeps working.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bright tries to pass to full mount but Mcwrestle defends it.
Mcwrestle is trying to get back to full guard.
Bright seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mcwrestle does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Bright is thwarting Mcwrestle's attempts to control the position.
Mcwrestle makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mcwrestle.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Mcwrestle manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Bright avoiding damage as Mcwrestle throws knees to the body.
Mcwrestle has Bright pushed against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mcwrestle wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
A nice left hand lands by Bright.
Bright landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Bright is looking for a takedown.

Mcwrestle breaks from the clinch.
Mcwrestle misses with a takedown attempt
and Bright counters with a straight right hand.
Mcwrestle fails with a takedown attempt.

Bright feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mcwrestle is looking for a triangle but Bright pushes his legs off easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Mcwrestle pushes a forearm under Bright's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Bright is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Wrestler Mcwrestle!
