Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Agbay Amiga (ranked 23723 p4p, 23900 weight class) and Rico Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Agbay Amiga could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Rico Salvacion's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 42 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Agbay Amiga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 36 - 5, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rico Salvacion!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Amiga defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Salvacion.
No luck for Amiga with that takedown attempt.

Salvacion feints and as Amiga raises his hands in defense, Salvacion changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Amiga has control of Salvacion's left arm, preventing Salvacion from doing any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Amiga throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Amiga is pulling down on Salvacion's head to control his posture.
Salvacion trying to control the position from guard on top but Amiga is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Salvacion controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Amiga has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Amiga changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Salvacion looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Amiga is chipping away with strikes.

Amiga stands up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Salvacion leaves Amiga with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Salvacion counters with a body kick.

Amiga closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Salvacion's guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Amiga wanted to stand there but Salvacion had control of the position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Agbay Amiga dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Salvacion closes this distance looking for a takedown but Amiga circles away.
Amiga thinks about countering with a body kick.

and Amiga counters with a body kick.
Salvacion looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Amiga is fending him off so far but Salvacion persists. Nope, Amiga circles away and we're back to standing.
Agbay Amiga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rico Salvacion.
Amiga shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Salvacion sprawls well. Salvacion wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Amiga gets slowly back to his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Amiga fails with a takedown attempt.
Amiga darts in looking for a takedown but Salvacion gets double underhooks and turns Amiga into the cage.
Amiga is trying to drag Salvacion to the mat but Salvacion just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Amiga gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Agbay Amiga overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Salvacion controlling the position.
Let's hope that Salvacion has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Salvacion is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Salvacion.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Salvacion is continuing to stall.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Amiga keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Salvacion fails with a takedown attempt.
It appears Amiga was looking to counter with a kick there.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Agbay Amiga dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Amiga dives in for a single leg takedown but Salvacion sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Salvacion let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Salvacion is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Amiga is defending well.

Amiga has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Salvacion clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Amiga controls the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Amiga gets his hands free as Salvacion looks to control.

You can see the frustration on Salvacion's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Amiga controls the position.
Amiga seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Salvacion for as long as he can get away with.
Salvacion wants to control his opponent's hands but Amiga gets his hands free.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Amiga's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Amiga controls the position.
Amiga is not going to allow Salvacion to sit and survive in this position.
Amiga is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Amiga has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Rico Salvacion has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Agbay Amiga is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Well Amiga has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
