Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Muhammad Hami! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Vytautas Didysis! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Decent striking displayed by Didysis there. Hami really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hami gets the takedown into side control. Hami decides to take the fight back to the feet. Didysis lands with a hook. Hami tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
It looks like Muhammad Hami has been cut. Nice shot lands for Didysis. Hami steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Didysis. As Didysis tries to get set, Hami tries to push him back and clinch up but Didysis manages to avoid the attempt. Didysis clinches up against the cage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hami is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Didysis to keep the fight standing. Didysis lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Didysis. Hami is trying to push Didysis away but Didysis has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Hami fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Didysis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Didysis darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Hami is rocked! Vytautas Didysis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Didysis closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Hami out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Vytautas Didysis!
