Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rager Angryguy (ranked 5299 p4p, 4255 weight class) and Blaze Tran (ranked 283 p4p, 190 weight class). Rager Angryguy has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rager Angryguy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Blaze Tran!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Josh West and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tran moves into range and clinches up with Angryguy.
Tran stalling.
Angryguy misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Tran blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Angryguy misses with a body punch.
Tran pushes off an throws an elbow but Angryguy leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Tran avoiding damage as Angryguy throws knees to the body.

Tran drags the fight down to the ground.
Angryguy stopping the sweep attempt from Tran.
Tran has a closed guard, preventing Angryguy from standing up.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Tran has eaten all the pies!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tran has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Angryguy avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Tran seems keen to control Angryguy's posture.
Tran is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tran is pulling down on Angryguy's head to control his posture.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Tran takes the fight into the clinch.
Tran stalling.

Tran successfully pulls guard.
Angryguy wants to get up but he can't break Tran's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Tran is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Let's hope that Tran has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Tran.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Tran misses with a hook
and Angryguy counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Tran misses with a lunging right hand
and Angryguy makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Tran really felt that one!

Tran moves into the clinch successfully.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Angryguy misses with a body punch.
Angryguy lands a hook that snaps the head of Tran backwards.

Tran manages to pull guard.
Angryguy wants to get up but he can't break Tran's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

That's five minutes gone in the round.
Tran has Angryguy pulled in close to control his posture.
Yet more stalling tactics from Tran.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Tran looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Tran clinches.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Tran is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Tran pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Tran stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Tran manages to pull guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Angryguy is looking to stand up but Tran won't let him.

Tran wants to sweep here but Angryguy controlling him for the moment.
Angryguy will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Angryguy wants to get up but he can't break Tran's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Tran is pulling down on Angryguy's head. It's preventing any offense from Angryguy, at least for the moment.
Tran's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Tran shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Angryguy wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Tran manages to pass to side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tran with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Blaze Tran dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Tran drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Angryguy looking for a sweep. Not yet Angryguy, not yet.
Angryguy controls Tran momentarily but Tran frees himself.
Tran looking to pass the guard.
Tran sitting in guard here, content to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Angryguy wants to control but Tran passes easily into half guard.
Angryguy looks like he's trying to stand up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Tran is controlling the pace.
Angryguy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Tran is looking to advance position but Angryguy won't allow it.

Tran frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Tran controlling his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Tran fails to advance to Angryguy's back.
Tran content just to control the position here.

That's five minutes gone in the round.
Tran is continuing to stall.

Tran is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Angryguy can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

That's six minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tran controlling from mount.
Angryguy tries to reverse the position but Tran maintains control.
Tran wants to take Angryguy's back but he can't do it this time.
Tran controlling his opponent.

That's seven minutes gone in the round.

Angryguy tries to buck Tran off so he can stand up but Tran has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Angryguy falls backwards, slamming Tran to the mat but Tran holds on tight! Angryguy is forced to tap and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 7:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Blaze Tran!
