Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Le Boulder (ranked 3021 p4p, 2583 weight class) and Shashlyk Lykmekov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Le Boulder comes to the cage accompanied by Monty Python Lumberjack Song. Bob Le Boulder could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Shashlyk Lykmekov's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bob Le Boulder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Shashlyk Lykmekov!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lykmekov wants to clinch

and Le Boulder counters with a takedown into side control.
The referee asks Le Boulder politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Le Boulder prefers to stall for the moment though.
Lykmekov wants to control but Le Boulder postures up.
Le Boulder takes a little break here. Lykmekov wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Le Boulder tries for a kimura but Lykmekov is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lykmekov is trying to escape the position but Le Boulder is controlling the position.

Lykmekov is looking to regain half guard here but Le Boulder keeps moving and retains side control.

Lykmekov parries the strikes from Le Boulder easily there. Le Boulder is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Lykmekov to escape.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Le Boulder is staying tight to Lykmekov's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Lykmekov tries to buck Le Boulder off but Le Boulder is having none of it.
Lykmekov is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Le Boulder slows the pace down.
Lykmekov looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Lykmekov has a takedown stuffed.
Le Boulder appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Le Boulder shoots in looking for a takedown but Lykmekov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Le Boulder's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Le Boulder shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lykmekov as he jumps to the side.
Le Boulder tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lykmekov defends well and Le Boulder ends up having to push Lykmekov into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Le Boulder. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lykmekov is looking to control Le Boulder's arms but Le Boulder gets an underhook and turns him. Now Lykmekov has his back to the cage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Le Boulder has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Lykmekov clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
Le Boulder has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Lykmekov rolls, trying to escape but Le Boulder keeps control of the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Lykmekov is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Le Boulder gets his way!
Lykmekov can't escape the position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Le Boulder swats away the attempt to clinch by Lykmekov.

Le Boulder closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Le Boulder lands in his opponent's guard.

Lykmekov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Le Boulder gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Le Boulder is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Le Boulder controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Bob Le Boulder overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Lykmekov dives in for a single leg takedown but Le Boulder sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Le Boulder throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Lykmekov tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Le Boulder is in Lykmekov's guard.

Lykmekov wants to sweep but no luck.
Le Boulder postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Le Boulder engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Le Boulder drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Lykmekov not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Le Boulder trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Lykmekov wants to improve his position but Le Boulder is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Le Boulder is taking a breather. Lykmekov says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Lykmekov fails to land the takedown.
Le Boulder tries to counter with a takedown but Lykmekov is quick to defend against it.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lykmekov is defended easily by Le Boulder.

Le Boulder's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Le Boulder thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Lykmekov's head.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Well, if Le Boulder is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Lykmekov wants to clinch

and Le Boulder counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Lykmekov pushes Le Boulder off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Le Boulder shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lykmekov's guard.
Lykmekov wants to stand and escape but Le Boulder is having none of it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Horrible takedown attempt by Le Boulder or perhaps it was just good defense by Lykmekov, which made it look bad.

Lykmekov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Le Boulder is aware though and is defending well.
