Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Minatay Mibangon (ranked 24021 p4p, 24043 weight class) and Walay Buut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 22 - 36 - 8, fighting out of Las Vegas, Minatay Mibangon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 33 - 30 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Walay Buut! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Mibangon gets a double leg takedown into Buut's guard. Mibangon is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Buut tries to land a sweep but no joy. Mibangon is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mibangon closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Mibangon looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Buut is trying to control but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mibangon slows the pace down in half guard. Mibangon has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Buut desperately trying to maintain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mibangon keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Buut shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Mibangon quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Buut gets a takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Buut stalling. Mibangon is holding on to half guard well. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mibangon moves into full guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Minatay Mibangon dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Buut shoots in for a takedown but Mibangon shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A counter left hand to the body from Mibangon misses its target. Nice takedown defense from Mibangon. No joy for Buut on that attempt. And Mibangon counters with a quick kick to the body but Buut blocks it. Buut tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mibangon swats him away and circles back towards the center. Excellent takedown into side control there by Buut. Mibangon sneaks out the side door and pushes Buut away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Buut shoots in and gets a takedown into Mibangon's guard. Buut scoring with some ground and pound. Buut is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Mibangon is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Buut can do to turn this around?

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mibangon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Buut is one step ahead there.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Buut shoots in and drives through. Mibangon sprawls well. Minatay Mibangon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walay Buut. Buut keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Buut lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Buut closes the distance and clinches up with Mibangon, looking for a takedown. Buut pushes Mibangon against the cage but Mibangon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. It appears Mibangon was looking to counter with a kick there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Buut shoots for a takedown but Mibangon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Mibangon swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Mibangon scores with a takedown into Buut's guard. Minatay Mibangon overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Buut wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mibangon is stalling in the full guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Minatay Mibangon dominated that second round. That's time! Mibangon's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Walay Buut has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Minatay Mibangon is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
And that's the end of the fight! Walay Buut comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mibangon has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
