Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daniel Mendes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyson Fury!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Mendes throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Mendes takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Fury lands with a hook. Mendes tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
It looks like Daniel Mendes has been cut.
Fury looks to land a combination but Mendes avoids it well.
Mendes throwing a counter right hand but Fury manages to avoid it.
Mendes gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Mendes tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Fury is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Mendes buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Mendes!! Mendes is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Fury throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tyson Fury!
During a confident post fight interview, Tyson Fury thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
