Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jaminson Sterling (ranked 4351 p4p, 4261 weight class) and Freaky Javier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Javier fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Sterling fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Javier avoids it really well and circles away.
Javier slaps away a takedown attempt from Sterling, before circling back to the center of the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Javier changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sterling tries to avoid it but Javier manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sterling to the ground. Sterling escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sterling shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Javier as he jumps to the side.

Javier ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sterling moves away.
Sterling throws a counter high kick but Javier was just alert enough to avoid it.

Javier shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sterling sprawls well. Sterling wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Javier gets slowly back to his feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sterling enables Javier to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sterling manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Javier changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Sterling fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Javier pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Sterling shoots in but no luck this time.
Javier shoots in and drives through. Sterling sprawls well.
Javier throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Sterling counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Javier throws a push kick but Sterling slaps the foot to one side.
Sterling throws a big counter combination but Javier scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Sterling lands with a nice combination. Javier backs away looking to recover.

Javier drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Sterling manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Sterling shoots in but Javier avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Javier misses with a looping right.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Javier manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Sterling on his heels. He'll look to pass Sterling's guard now, I'm sure.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Sterling manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Sterling is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Javier is keeping busy.

Javier manages to break the clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Javier has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Sterling uses from the top position.
Javier really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sterling. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Javier is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Freaky Javier has got the better of the ground game so far.

Javier had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sterling defends it easily.

Sterling got a little sloppy there for a moment and Javier has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sterling has managed to get both his arms back between Javier's legs - danger averted.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Javier keeps the fight on the outside.

Javier drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Sterling gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Javier has hold of one of Sterling's legs. Sterling is fighting the takedown attempt but Javier gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Freaky Javier is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jaminson Sterling.
Well Javier has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
