Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hero Hero (ranked 25203 p4p, 5412 weight class) and Dominic Mowrey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Atkins and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mowrey tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hero sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mowrey somewhat.

Hero gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Hero decides to pull guard.
Hero has his hands on Mowrey's head, controlling the position.
Mowrey trying to control the position from guard on top but Hero is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mowrey tries to stand but Hero is controlling from the bottom.

Hero is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Hero has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Mowrey after a bit of a struggle.
Mowrey goes for a takedown attempt but Hero pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Mowrey shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hero defends it nicely.
Hero shoots in but no luck this time.

Hero is breathing heavily.
Hero shoots in looking for a takedown but Mowrey manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hero's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Hero counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Mowrey thinking.

The fight stays on the outside here - Mowrey looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Mowrey pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mowrey tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hero paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Mowrey wants to clinch up but Hero keeps it at a distance.
Mowrey shoots in for a takedown but Hero shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Mowrey throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hero's waist but Hero gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mowrey off to one side.

Hero has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mowrey avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Mowrey shoots in but no luck this time.
Mowrey ducks right into an uppercut from Hero.

and Hero counters with a leg kick.
Hero lands a head kick. Mowrey smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hero tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mowrey defends well and Hero ends up having to push Mowrey into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Hero bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mowrey's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hero seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Hero changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mowrey looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Mowrey avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Hero.
Mowrey is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Hero has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Hero thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
