And in the blue corner, fighting out of Helsinki, with a TWGC record of 10 wins and 10 losses; Ian Laperierre!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Alexandre Firmino and Emerson Jorge.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Pushkin leaves Laperierre with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Laperierre shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pushkin's guard.

Pushkin has his foot on Laperierre's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Laperierre works his way back into a safe position though.

It looks like Laperierre might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
