Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Montoya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georges Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Moore's choice of entrance music: homecoming. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Carlos Montoya! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Georges Moore! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Eliza Hachem and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Montoya scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Montoya throws a right hand that Moore ducks under and follows up with a left that Moore also avoids with ease. Montoya looks to land a body kick but Moore moved away. Montoya throws a right hand that Moore ducks under and follows up with a left that Moore also avoids with ease. Montoya scores with a body shot.
Montoya just misses with a punch to the body.
Moore walks into a straight right hand from Montoya. Moore slips a straight right by Montoya. Moore ducks under a wild hook from Montoya. Montoya ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Moore moves away. Good shot there by Montoya. Montoya throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's one minute gone in the round. Montoya throws a hook but Moore avoids it easily. Montoya misses with a wild body shot. Montoya lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Moore circles away quickly and effectively. Montoya misses the shot to the body. Montoya throws a right hand that Moore ducks under and follows up with a left that Moore also avoids with ease. Montoya rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Moore moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Moore uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Montoya.
Montoya lands the left hand. Montoya throws an overhand right that lands on Moore's shoulder, as Moore tries to avoid the shot. Montoya looks to land a right hand but Moore moved out of range. Moore fails with the takedown. Moore ducks right into an uppercut from Montoya. Montoya waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Moore. Moore uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Montoya.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Montoya lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Moore backs up against the cage.
Montoya is breathing heavily. Moore has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Moore there as he acknowledges the shot. Montoya scores with a hook. A punch combination from Montoya misses. Moore closes this distance looking for a takedown but Montoya circles away. Carlos Montoya has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Georges Moore. Montoya misses with a hook. A big left from Montoya misses. Moore shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Moore trying to control the action but Montoya is working from the bottom. Moore prevents Montoya from standing back up.
Moore looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moore wants to control but Montoya is keeping him busy. Moore might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Montoya kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Moore is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Montoya works his way to full guard. Good work. Montoya is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Moore pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Montoya is keeping the position for now. Moore won't allow Montoya to sweep him here. Montoya keeping moving, preventing Moore from controlling successfully. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Moore is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Moore landing some decent shots from guard. Montoya can't keep his opponent in guard - Moore advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carlos Montoya dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Moore feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Moore postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Montoya is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Moore, into his guard. Moore escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Montoya gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Moore can't keep his opponent in guard - Montoya advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Moore trying to control here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Montoya is looking for a kimura but Moore is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Montoya to get the leverage. Montoya missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Moore is defending against the submission attempts here by Montoya.
Moore has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Montoya is working away from the top position though. Moore is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Montoya's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Montoya's back! Montoya knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Moore on the ground. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Montoya looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Montoya prevents Moore from getting a body triangle. Montoya is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Moore is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Montoya knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Montoya for a finish. Moore working for a choke but Montoya is defending well. Moore has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Montoya has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Montoya defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Moore's arms. Montoya trying to control the hands but Moore won't let him. Moore has the hooks in. Montoya is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Moore is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Montoya is tapping out! This one is all over!
