Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kevin Durant!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Klayton King!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durant slips a jab from King.
Durant looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Durant moves out of range as King strikes.
A chopping leg kick lands by King.
King throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
And Durant counters with a quick kick to the body but King blocks it.
Durant rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but King moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
King lands a nice shot that snaps Durant's head back.
King scores with a push kick.
Durant takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Durant counters with a nice uppercut.

Durant bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
A quick step to the side and Durant tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

As King backs away, Durant returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

and Durant counters with a straight right hand.
King scores with a leg kick.
King throws the left hand but Durant avoids the punch easily.

It looked like Durant wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
King ducks under a wild hook from Durant.

King misses with a low kick.

King walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Durant checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Durant's hands are dropping dangerously low here and King connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Durant scrambles back to his feet.

As King looks to move away, Durant throws a big counter combo but King just gets out of the way.
Durant uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from King.
King thows a left - swing and a miss!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Left hook, right uppercut from King.
Durant is rocked!
King cracks Durant with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Durant tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but King pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Durant is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Klayton King!
Klayton King gave a mention to Phoenix (for sale) in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
