Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexandru Mircea (ranked 2025 p4p, 5002 weight class) and Jimmy Nickels (ranked 237 p4p, 488 weight class). Mircea's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Shatter. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexandru Mircea!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Nickels!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mircea fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Nickels shoots in but Mircea avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mircea goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Mircea pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Nickels shoots in but no luck this time.
Nickels moves to clinch but Mircea breaks away
and Nickels takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Nickels throws a sloppy head kick and Mircea moves out of range easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mircea walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Nickels checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Mircea bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Nickels's head backwards.

Mircea will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Nickels changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

BOOM! Mircea lands a beautiful left hook that drops Nickels. Nickels tries to recover but Mircea is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Nickels lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
