Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Santos Carlson!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Illya Tyunina and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carlson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Carlson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Carlson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Reserton swivels and escapes.

Carlson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Reserton shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Carlson's guard.
Reserton is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Reserton is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Reserton stands up over Carlson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Reserton manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Carlson on his heels. He'll look to pass Carlson's guard now, I'm sure.

Carlson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Reserton controls the pace.
Reserton seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Carlson for as long as he can get away with.

Reserton decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Carlson, up you get!

Reserton lands a hook that snaps the head of Carlson backwards.

Reserton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Reserton swats away the attempt to clinch by Carlson.

Reserton closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Reserton has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Carlson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Reserton looking to break Carlson's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Carlson remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Reserton will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Reserton really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Carlson.

Reserton fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Carlson, pushing him back against the cage.
Reserton lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Carlson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Reserton keeps control of Carlson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Reserton is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Carlson can do to turn this around?
Carlson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Carlson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Reserton has him pressed against the cage.

Reserton is trying to trip Carlson. He has hold of a leg but Carlson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Reserton persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Reserton is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Carlson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Reserton slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Santos Carlson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jackson Reserton is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
