Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tom Williams (ranked 4235 p4p, 4270 weight class) and Charles Compton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tom Williams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Charles Compton! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Eliza Hachem and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Compton shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Williams pinned against the cage. Williams gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. No joy there for Williams, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Williams fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Williams connects with a jab. Excellent takedown into side control there by Williams. Compton struggling a bit here. Williams working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Compton can't do much from the bottom here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Compton managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Williams.
Williams lands some shots froms side control. Compton is looking to regain half guard here but Williams keeps moving and retains side control. Williams is staying tight to Compton's torso, preventing him from escaping. Williams lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Compton manages to get back to half guard. Compton is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Compton looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Williams controlling the action here. Williams wants to control but Compton is keeping him busy. Compton slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Compton keeping moving, preventing Williams from controlling successfully. Williams is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Williams prevents Compton from getting back to his feet. Compton is trying to keep Williams in close.
Compton might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Williams haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Compton pulls Williams in close to prevent any damage.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Williams looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Compton doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Compton is looking for a triangle but Williams pushes his legs off easily.
Williams is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Williams scoring with some ground and pound. Williams is in close to Compton's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Williams looking to pass the guard. Williams chips away with some ground and pound. Williams keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Compton's head. Compton not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Compton looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Compton is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Williams works over Compton with some ground and pound from guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Williams postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Williams working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Williams has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Williams working some strikes from top position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Tom Williams dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Williams manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Compton on his heels. He'll look to pass Compton's guard now, I'm sure. Compton pushes Williams off and gets back to his feet.
Williams lands a right hook to the body.
Nice takedown defense from Williams. No joy for Compton on that attempt. Compton wants to clinch but Williams slips to the side and Williams counters with a stiff right hand.
Compton is rocked! Williams connects with a combination that backs up Compton into the cage. Williams lands a flurry of punches that gets past Compton's guard. Compton is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Williams bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tom Williams!
