Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Herbert Baine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sampson Sullivan!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Sullivan. No joy for Baine on that attempt.

Sullivan drives through and clinches with Baine against the cage.

Baine throws a shot from downtown. Sullivan moves away and avoids it.

Baine wants to take the fight to the mat but Sullivan manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Baine works on Sullivan's body with a couple of short punches.

Baine jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sullivan walks away with a smile on his face. Baine gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Sullivan will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Baine wants to clinch.
Herbert Baine is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Baine is defended easily by Sullivan.
Sullivan needs to keep his hands up - Baine had a free shot at his head there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sullivan manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Baine on his heels. He'll look to pass Baine's guard now, I'm sure.
Baine is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Baine manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sullivan manages to get himself to full guard.

Baine is looking to pass into half guard but Sullivan pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Sullivan is in guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Baine's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Sullivan's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Baine working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sullivan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sullivan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well Sullivan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
