Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cale Benjamin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Maksim Kuznetsov!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benjamin shoots in and bounces Kuznetsov off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Kuznetsov throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Benjamin throws a big elbow that misses.
Kuznetsov can't keep his opponent in guard - Benjamin advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Benjamin prevents Kuznetsov from improving his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Benjamin winds up and cracks Kuznetsov with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Benjamin looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Benjamin is keen to just control but Kuznetsov is a slippery customer.

Benjamin working over Kuznetsov with some ground and pound. Kuznetsov looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Benjamin wants to take a breather but Kuznetsov is having none of it.
Benjamin throwing shots but Kuznetsov is blocking nicely.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Benjamin in particular looking to stall.
Benjamin really is a fat lump.
Benjamin slips a nice elbow through Kuznetsov's hands, connecting with Kuznetsov's forehead.
Kuznetsov wants to control but Benjamin is keeping busy.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kuznetsov can do anything to dispel that myth.
Benjamin is nestled in close to Kuznetsov, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Benjamin perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Benjamin lands a big shot there that rocks Kuznetsov but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Benjamin cracks Kuznetsov with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Kuznetsov is rocked!
Kuznetsov takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Benjamin's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
