The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gordon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Fresco.
Fresco throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Fresco has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Gordon moves into range and connects with a jab.

It looks like Quinton Fresco has been cut.
A nice leg kick from Fresco, right into the meat of the thigh.
Fresco tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Gordon is trying to break the clinch but Fresco has him pressed against the cage.
Fresco tries to pull guard but Gordon forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Fresco escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Fresco gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Gordon to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Gordon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Gordon arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Fresco's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
