Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cody Hardwick (ranked 25152 p4p, 5720 weight class) and Umar Khattab (ranked 562 p4p, 533 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Cody Hardwick has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Cody Hardwick seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khattab swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Hardwick counters with a takedown into side control.
Khattab sneaks out the side door and pushes Hardwick away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Hardwick shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Khattab counters by moving into the clinch.
Hardwick is looking for a takedown.
Khattab can't break the clinch.
Khattab has picked Hardwick up - he's going for a ride! Khattab dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hardwick is trying to maintain the position but Khattab is very close to passing his half guard.
Hardwick is controlling Khattab's trapped leg to prevent Khattab from advancing to side control.
Khattab is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Hardwick is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
