Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Cayden Abner (ranked 3236 p4p, 3273 weight class) and Craig Watkins (ranked 394 p4p, 397 weight class). Abner's entrance music is Bulls On Parade. A fine choice. Cayden Abner could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Craig Watkins's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Craig Watkins!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Thiago Cunha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watkins buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Abner throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Abner slips a jab from Watkins.
A jab from Abner misses.
Watkins connects with a body shot that sends Abner's belly button to the back.
Abner throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Watkins counters with a nice uppercut.
Watkins throws a wild body kick that Abner sees coming a mile off.
Abner swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Watkins showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Abner.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Abner counters with a nice leg kick.
Abner connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Watkins throws a lazy right hand but Abner sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Abner is looking for a counter combo.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Watkins.

A low kick from Watkins misses
and Abner counters with a good low kick that Watkins was not able to check.
Abner throws a leg kick but Watkins moved away.

Abner has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Watkins finds it's way round the side to connect with Abner's head.
Abner throws a hook to the side of Watkins's head but Watkins sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Watkins looks to throw the jab but Abner is out of range.

Abner rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Watkins moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
The fighters circle momentarily. Abner darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Abner cracks a nice hook into Watkins's ribs.
Watkins ducks into a a hook from Abner and goes down! He looks in a bit of a mess; will he beat the count?! 4,5,6,7,8 - he's up and looking to carry on! The referee looks into his eyes and sees that he's OK to continue!

After the fight, Cayden Abner was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
