Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 20 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Farto Fuerte!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Conrad Knightley!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knightley throws a nice inside leg kick.
Knightley uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Fuerte has time to react.
Knightley lands a nice shot to the body.

Fuerte gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Knightley.
Fuerte looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Knightley fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Fuerte looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Knightley throws a hook to the side of Fuerte's head but Fuerte sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Fuerte swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Knightley moves into range and connects with a jab.
Knightley pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

It looked like Fuerte wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

and Fuerte counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Fuerte takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Fuerte stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Knightley.

A looping hook to the body misses from Knightley. Fuerte does a little dance to reset his feet.
As Knightley looks to move away, Fuerte throws a big counter combo but Knightley just gets out of the way.
Fuerte takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Knightley connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

and before Knightley can reset, Fuerte rushes him with a swarm of punches, sending him crashing to the floor, in all sorts of trouble! Knightley is trying to beat the count but we're up to 6 already and he's nowhere near. 7,8... he's up! He's going to continue!

Knightley fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Fuerte has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Knightley feints and then cracks Fuerte's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Fuerte down.

Fuerte uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Knightley.

Knightley has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Knightley slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Well Knightley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
