Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frederick Lee (ranked 3965 p4p, 24492 weight class) and Jett Fletcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fletcher is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Can’t Hold Us by Macklemore. Frederick Lee has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Frederick Lee ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jett Fletcher! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Josh West and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fletcher manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lee on his heels. He'll look to pass Lee 's guard now, I'm sure. Lee pulls Fletcher in to control the position. Fletcher is looking to work some ground and pound but Lee has wrist control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fletcher trying to control the position from guard on top but Lee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Fletcher working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lee is on top in guard.
Lee advances to half guard. Fletcher is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Lee 's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Lee 's back! Lee is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Oooh a big shot gets through from Fletcher. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Lee staying busy and making it hard for Fletcher to control. Lee tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Fletcher thowing shots but they're missing. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Fletcher tries to control but Lee wriggling away. Lee is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lee regains half guard. Fletcher really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lee . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lee regains full guard. Nicely done. Lee wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Fletcher with a flurry of punches that miss. Lee has Fletcher pulled in close to control his posture. Fletcher won't allow Lee to sweep him here. Lee lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Lee stopping the sweep attempt from Fletcher. We've been hearing good reports from Lee 's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Lee wants to pass the guard but Fletcher is keeping the position. Lee works a leg free and moves into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lee is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Fletcher doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lee .
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lee passes to side control. Lee is looking to take a break and control but Fletcher is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Lee working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Lee looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Lee trying to control the action but Fletcher is working from the bottom.

Fletcher knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Lee looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Lee wants to take a breather but Fletcher manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Lee .
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fletcher wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Lee is now in half guard. Lee works his way into full mount! Lee tries to control but Fletcher wriggling away. Lee wants to take Fletcher's back but he can't do it this time. Lee swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Fletcher is now in Lee 's guard. A big mistake from Lee there, giving up the dominant position! Lee manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Fletcher manages to get himself to full guard.
Fletcher is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Lee slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Frederick Lee dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Fletcher feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Lee wants to sweep but no luck. Lee pulls Fletcher in close to his closed guard and prevents Fletcher from doing any damage or advancing position. Lee manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Fletcher manages to get himself to full guard.
Lee sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Fletcher's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lee is working for a kimura but Fletcher is defending it quite comfortably.

That's one minute gone in the round. Lee moves into full mount! Fletcher won't be happy about that! Lee moves to back control. Lee is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Fletcher has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Lee sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Fletcher taps out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Frederick Lee ! Frederick Lee decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well. In defeat, Jett Fletcher stepped up to the mic, saying 'Thank you to my family and fans! You are amazing! God bless! '.
