Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brendan Baddock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mitch Kingston! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Kavanagh and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baddock lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Baddock scores with a jab to the body. Baddock keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kingston. An attempted straight right counter from Baddock misses the target. Kingston avoids a punch combination nicely.
A nice side step and Kingston releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Baddock misses with a few strikes there.

It looks like Brendan Baddock has been cut. Kingston is looking to chop away at Baddock's legs. Baddock throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kingston! But no joy. Baddock keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kingston. A little feinted left hand from Baddock on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Baddock jabs at Kingston's body. Baddock throws a right and a left that Kingston avoids nicely. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Baddock misses with a wild combination.

That's one minute gone in the round. Baddock fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kingston throws a body punch but Baddock moves out of range. Kingston fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Baddock manages to avoid it. Baddock went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. We've been told by Baddock's head coaches at The Jungle Room that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Baddock throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Baddock throws a head kick that misses enabling Kingston to counter with a crisp jab. Baddock misses with a few strikes there.

Kingston misses with an uppercut. Baddock saw that one coming. Brendan Baddock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Baddock lands with a cross. Baddock lands a big head kick that sends Kingston tumbling to the mat! Baddock takes a step backwards and waves Kingston back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Mitch Kingston has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Kingston scores with a jab. Baddock acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Baddock scores with a one two! Kingston had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Kingston swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Kingston ducks right into an uppercut from Baddock. Kingston jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Kingston throws out a counter right but Baddock avoids it with no problem. Baddock throws a right and a left that both miss. Baddock throws a head kick that Kingston semi-blocks.
Kingston fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Baddock manages to avoid it. Baddock lands with a kick to the temple. Kingston shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Baddock throws a head kick that misses and Kingston counters with a nice uppercut. Kingston tries to work over Baddock's front leg with a kick but Baddock checks it. Baddock misses with a double jab
and Kingston counters with a crisp right hand that drops Baddock! Kingston lets Baddock back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Brendan Baddock's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Kingston lands a big right hand that sends Baddock crashing to the mat! Kingston stays standing though and waves Baddock back to his feet!
Baddock is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kingston has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kingston there as he acknowledges the shot. Baddock throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Kingston tries a head kick but it misses.
Kingston throws a jab when Baddock was well out of range. Kingston throws a lazy right hand but Baddock sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kingston blocks a head kick by Baddock.
Kingston swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. No joy there for Baddock, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

He must have been on the weights. Baddock misses with a left hand and Kingston counters with a left to the body. Baddock is breathing heavily. Kingston looks to land a right hand but Baddock moved out of range. Kingston lands a big right hand that sends Baddock crashing to the mat! Kingston stays standing though and waves Baddock back to his feet! Oh Baddock is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jeez, Brendan Baddock's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Brendan Baddock's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Mitch Kingston! A very excited looking Mitch Kingston made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
