Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Klaas Jan Tijhoff (ranked 2625 p4p, 5563 weight class) and Henry Zimmerman (ranked 309 p4p, 469 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Henry Zimmerman was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Klaas Jan Tijhoff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Henry Zimmerman!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Russell Pearce and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tijhoff shoots in for a takedown but Zimmerman shows good takedown defense.
Tijhoff tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Zimmerman defends well and Tijhoff ends up having to push Zimmerman into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Zimmerman stalling in the clinch but Tijhoff improves position.
Tijhoff turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Tijhoff manages to end up in side control.
Zimmerman looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Zimmerman is not content to let Tijhoff control the position.
A lull in the action here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tijhoff is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Zimmerman knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Tijhoff tries for a kimura but Zimmerman is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Zimmerman is not content to let Tijhoff control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tijhoff has an Americana. Zimmerman didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Tijhoff is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Tijhoff hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Klaas Jan Tijhoff!
Klaas Jan Tijhoff really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Furnace Performance 🔥 logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
Henry Zimmerman was interviewed post fight and said 'I...lost?'.
