Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 45 - 38 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Christophe Dupree!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 20 - 1, fighting out of New York, Kingsley Brown!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dupree throws a nice outside leg kick.
Brown keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Dupree.
Brown uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Dupree.
Good leg kick by Dupree.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Brown has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Dupree throws a combination that misses
and Brown counters with a nice uppercut.
A telegraphed right hand from Dupree misses the target.
Brown cracks Dupree with a good jab.
Brown lands an overhand right.
Brown throws a jab but it's blocked by Dupree.
Brown feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Duprees jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Dupree throws a left and a right that both miss
and Brown counters with a crisp one two that drops Dupree! Brown thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Dupree to his feet! Dupree is in big trouble!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dupree misses with a jab to the body
and Brown counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Dupree off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Brown follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Dupree was out before he hit the floor.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Kingsley Brown!
