Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrew Simba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shaman Weaver!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simba throws a lazy right hand but Weaver sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A nice inside leg kick there by Simba. That's going to slow Weaver down.
Simba swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Weaver.
Simba moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Weaver. Simba does a little dance to reset his feet.
Simba scoring well with a low kick there.
Simba scores with a kick to the midsection.
Weaver lands a slapping body shot.
Simba fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Weaver.
Simba bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Simba lands with a slapping head kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Weaver throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Simba lets loose with a powerful body kick. Weaver will feel that in the morning.
A lazy body kick from Simba
and Weaver counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Weaver moves nicely into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Weaver scoring with punches from side control.
Weaver happy to just control the position for now.
Simba is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Weaver asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Weaver lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Simba knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Weaver on the ground.
Weaver creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Simba is rocked!
Weaver has hold of Simba's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Simba tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Weaver cranks the arm and Simba screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Simba, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Shaman Weaver!
After winning the bout, Shaman Weaver thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
