Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Floki Gunnarsson (ranked 24546 p4p, 3675 weight class) and Dong Hyun Kim (ranked 580 p4p, 440 weight class). Gunnarsson comes to the cage accompanied by BROTHERS OF METAL - Fire, Blood And Steel. Kim comes into a darkened arena with his song building. And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dong Hyun Kim!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circle momentarily. Gunnarsson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
It looks like Dong Hyun Kim has been cut.
Gunnarsson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Kim shoots in looking for a takedown but Gunnarsson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kim's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Kim tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Gunnarsson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kim throws a lazy head kick
and Gunnarsson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Dong Hyun Kim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
