Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Bernard Hopkins Jr (ranked 3388 p4p, 3220 weight class) and Chris Eubank (ranked 387 p4p, 368 weight class). Eubank has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Chris Eubank has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eubank fails to land with a series of punches.
A little feinted left hand from Hopkins Jr on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Hopkins Jr rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Eubank counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Hopkins Jr throws the left hand but Eubank avoids the punch easily.
Hopkins Jr throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Eubank counters with a nice uppercut.
Eubank ducks under a wild hook from Hopkins Jr.
A big right from Eubank misses.
An attempted straight right counter from Hopkins Jr misses the target.
Hopkins Jr thuds a left hand into Eubank's body.
Eubank lands with a shot to the body.
Eubank looks winded!

and Eubank counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bernard Hopkins Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Eubank jabs Hopkins Jr right on the nose. Hopkins Jr blinks but takes it well.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hopkins Jr fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Eubank on the side of the head.
Eubank on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Eubank throws out a counter right but Hopkins Jr avoids it with no problem.
Hopkins Jr stuns Eubank with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Eubank seems to have recovered his senses.
Hopkins Jr closes the distance and catches Eubank with a lead hook that drops him to the canvas! Eubank is clearly dazed and struggling here! 3,4,5,6,7 and Eubank is up to his feet but the referee has called it off! Eubank is still far too wobbly and he's not going to allow the fight to continue! Hopkins Jr takes it!

In his post fight interview, Bernard Hopkins Jr started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
