Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Freddie Steele (ranked 5388 p4p, 5326 weight class) and Canelo Alvarez (ranked 523 p4p, 517 weight class). Alvarez is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Mexico Lindo y Querido. Freddie Steele has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Freddie Steele! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Canelo Alvarez! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steele takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Alvarez looks to land a right hand but Steele moved out of range. Steele is looking to counter punch. Steele doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Steele uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Alvarez. Steele misses with a body punch
and Alvarez counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Steele thinking. Steele connects with a good right hand that stumbles Alvarez. Alvarez circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Alvarez connects with a body shot. Steele jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Alvarez missing with a left hand there. Steele was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Steele misses with an uppercut

Alvarez uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Steele. Steele misses with a telegraphed body shot
enabling Alvarez to counter with a crisp jab. Steele throws a jab when Alvarez was well out of range. Alvarez slips under a jab from Steele. Alvarez looks to land a left hand but Steele moved out of range nicely.

Steele ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Alvarez scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. A slow jab from Steele misses its intended target. Alvarez throws out a loose jab but Steele uses good head movement to avoid it. An attempted straight right counter from Steele misses the target. Steele staying out of range there. Steele steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Alvarez. Steele falls off balance throwing a combination
and Alvarez counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Alvarez scores with a body shot.
Steele throws out a loose jab but Alvarez uses good head movement to avoid it. Alvarez lands a glancing blow to the side of Steele's head. Nice body punch from Alvarez. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Steele throws a sloppy body shot
and Alvarez counters with a really nice, stiff jab that drops Steele onto his ass. He'll have to take the mandatory count from the referee but he's back on his feet and he seems OK to continue.
Steele is rocked! A big right from Alvarez misses. Alvarez lands a nice hook to Steele's body. Steele takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Steele swings away with a body shot that misses
and Alvarez counters with a stiff right hand. Oh Steele is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Steele swings and misses with a shot to the body and Alvarez counters with a big left hand that crumples Steele! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!
