The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith keeps Case at a distance using the push kick.
A decent looking cross lands there for Smith.
Case buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Sloppy strikes from Smith. Those never looked like landing.
Case throws a looping overhand right but Smith ducks down to avoid it.
Smith ducks right into an uppercut from Case.
Case has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad MMA Las Vegas in the buildup to the fight.
Smith lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Smith misses the jab.
Case tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Case misses with a left hand
and Smith counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Case on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Case connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Smith wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Case lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Smith throws a nice looking combination but Case bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Case changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
The fighters circling - Case throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Jake Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
