Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kimmo Kallio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 48 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Berto Kin!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kin throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kallio's jab looks to have found its range, popping Kin under the eye.
Kallio stuns Kin with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Kallio lands with a shot to the body.
Kin takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Sloppy strikes from Kin. Those never looked like landing.
Kallio throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Kallio cracks Kin with a left hand that drops him to the canvas, up against the ropes! Can Kin get back up in time? 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... he's on one knee... 8, 9... he's up! 'Walk towards me' says the referee. Kin looks steady enough to continue so we're going to continue!
Kin is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kin glances at the clock... BAM! Kallio nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Kin crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Kin is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kimmo Kallio!
After winning the bout, Kimmo Kallio thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
