The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chavez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Chavez tries to clinch up.
Pavanelli takes a swing at Chavez's ribcage but misses.
A big left from Pavanelli misses.
Chavez tries to clinch there but Pavanelli circles away.
Chavez walks into a jab.
Some wild striking there from Chavez.
Chavez wants to clinch.
Pavanelli fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Chavez looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Pavanelli throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Chavez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Pavanelli bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Chavez's head.
Chavez fails to land the takedown.
Chavez ducks right into an uppercut from Pavanelli.

Nice sprawl there from Pavanelli as Chavez shoots in.

Chavez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pavanelli's waist but Pavanelli gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chavez off to one side.
Pavanelli punishes Chavez's body with a nice straight punch.
Chavez takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Pavanelli scores with a hook to the body. Chavez takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Pavanelli drops Chavez with a left and a right! Oh, Chavez is hurt - Pavanelli dives into side control looking to finish!

Chavez is rocked!

Pavanelli scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Chavez is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Pavanelli can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
