Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Skip Squint and Ben Hemmingworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
John darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Chong misses with a two punch combination.
Chong throws a right and a left that John avoids nicely.
Hongy Chong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
John tries to close the distance and clinch but Chong swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Chong doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Chong takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Chong jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Chong dives in and scores a takedown into John's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
John wants to sweep here but Chong controlling him for the moment.
