The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andersson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Frank Andersson has been cut.
Andersson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Andersson misses with a takedown
enabling Fernandez to counter with a crisp jab.
Andersson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Fernandez tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Andersson is in Fernandez's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fernandez can do anything to dispel that myth.

Andersson advances position into side control!
Andersson is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Fernandez looks calm but he's in trouble here. Andersson gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Fernandez is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Andersson lets go of the hold and Fernandez can pop his arm back in it's socket.
