Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbate fails with the takedown.
Shamrock rushes Abbate and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Abbate blocks an elbow strike from Shamrock.
Shamrock lands a knee to the body.
Abbate is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Shamrock pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Shamrock prevents Abbate from breaking the clinch.

Abbate darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Abbate is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Shamrock is just riding it out for now. Abbate eventually gives up the hold.

Shamrock trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Abbate.

Abbate thuds his right hand into Shamrock's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Abbate pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Abbate drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Shamrock is pushing Abbate's head away, looking to escape. Abbate manages to hold on to the position though.

Abbate tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Abbate has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Shamrock throws a right and a left that Abbate avoids nicely.
Abbate tries for a takedown but Shamrock sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Shamrock looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Abbate's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Abbate duly obliges.
It looks like Bank Shamrock has been cut.

Abbate tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Shamrock just stands there and leans against the cage.
Abbate has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Shamrock is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Abbate wants a takedown.
Shamrock scores a nice knee to the body.
Shamrock breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Abbate is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Shamrock hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
