The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mac shoots in for a takedown but Jeffries shows good takedown defense.
Mac looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
John Jeffries seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jeffries looks to land a combination. Mac sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Mac throws a series of strikes that have Jeffries backpedaling.
It looks like John Jeffries has been cut.

Mac closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Mac is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Jeffries is forced to tap! Great finish!
