Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ali Maskhadov (ranked 3133 p4p, 3021 weight class) and Gonzo Gonsalez (ranked 211 p4p, 205 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ali Maskhadov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonsalez misses with a hook. Maskhadov ducked under it nicely.
Gonsalez waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Maskhadov.
It looked like Maskhadov was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Gonsalez.
Gonsalez throws a hook but Maskhadov blocks it.
Maskhadov takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Maskhadov instigates a clinch.
Gonsalez blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Gonsalez's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Maskhadov swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Gonsalez looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Gonzo Gonsalez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Maskhadov's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Gonsalez connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Maskhadov scrambles back to his feet.
The fighters circling - Gonsalez throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Gonsalez looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Gonsalez ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Maskhadov moves away.

Gonsalez throws a shot from downtown. Maskhadov moves away and avoids it.

Maskhadov breaks from the clinch.

Maskhadov drives through and clinches with Gonsalez against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Gonsalez fails to land.

Maskhadov breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Maskhadov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gonsalez sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Maskhadov ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Gonsalez misses with a body shot.

Maskhadov has managed to clinch.
Maskhadov lands a right hand that snaps the head of Gonsalez backwards.
Gonsalez lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
A frustrated look appears on Maskhadov's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Gonsalez tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Gonsalez manages to break the clinch.
Gonsalez keeps the fight on the outside.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gonsalez. Maskhadov does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Maskhadov counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Gonsalez connects with a looping right hand.
Maskhadov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gonsalez manages to avoid it.

Nice straight punches there by Gonsalez. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Gonsalez.

It looks like Ali Maskhadov has been cut.

Gonsalez throws an overhand right that lands on Maskhadov's shoulder, as Maskhadov tries to avoid the shot.
Gonsalez fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Maskhadov takes a jab right on the kisser.
Gonsalez connects with a good right hand that stumbles Maskhadov. Maskhadov circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Gonsalez scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Maskhadov is breathing heavily.
Gonsalez lands a glancing blow to the side of Maskhadov's head.

Maskhadov is rocked!
Maskhadov throws a shot to the body.
Oh Maskhadov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Gonsalez cracks Maskhadov with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Maskhadov looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Gonsalez finish him?

Maskhadov was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Maskhadov seems to have got his legs back now.
Gonsalez moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Gonsalez throws an overhand right that drops Maskhadov like a sack of potatoes! Gonsalez dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
