Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Leonardo Pancho Garcia!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Lou da Vinci and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia thuds a left hand into Esponosa's body.
Leonardo Pancho Garcia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Esponosa closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Esponosa slows the pace down.

Esponosa is trying to get an arm triangle but Garcia is defending well.
Garcia is trying to improve his position.
Garcia wants to control but Esponosa postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Garcia gets back to half guard.

Esponosa is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Garcia has managed to free his arm - good work.
Garcia has his hands clasped together around Esponosa's back. He's all about the action.

Garcia blocking the ground and pound attempt from Esponosa.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Esponosa wants to pass the guard but Garcia is defending well.
Garcia is looking for a sweep. Esponosa is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Garcia manages to get to full guard.

Garcia is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Esponosa pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Garcia is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Garcia keeping moving, preventing Esponosa from controlling successfully.

Garcia is looking for a triangle but Esponosa pushes his legs off easily.
Esponosa engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Garcia is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Garcia working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Esponosa.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Esponosa rushes Garcia and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Garcia pushes Esponosa back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Esponosa blocks a body shot from Garcia.
Garcia tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Esponosa gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Garcia regains guard.
Esponosa slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Esponosa is fighting to break Garcia's control of his arms but Garcia is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Garcia looking for a guillotine here but Esponosa defends easily.
Esponosa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Garcia swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Garcia looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Esponosa is defending well. Garcia quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Esponosa has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Garcia celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
