Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Eddie Farnsworth and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jose tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Isaac Jose seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bateman tries to land a front kick but Jose steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Jose cracks Bateman with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Bateman moves out of range of the body kick from Jose.

Bateman fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Jose has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Despite the aggression on Jose's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Jose tries to bum rush Bateman with a series of wild strikes but Bateman uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Jose wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Jose has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bateman finds it's way round the side to connect with Jose's head.

Bateman pivots, looking for a leg kick but Jose is out of range and Bateman settles back down.
Bateman throws the kick towards the body but Jose avoids it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jose throws a counter combo.
Jose throws a right hand that Bateman ducks under and follows up with a left that Bateman also avoids with ease.

Bateman jabs Jose to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Bateman feints and then cracks Jose's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jose down.

Bateman throws a sloppy head kick and Jose moves out of range easily.

The fighters circling - Jose throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Jose misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bateman lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Jose moves out of range as Bateman throws a body kick.
Jose lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bateman circles away quickly and effectively.
Bateman closes the distance and clinches.
Bateman is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Bateman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Bateman scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Jose misses with a few strikes there.
Jose misses with a kick to the body.

Our sources have told us that Bateman has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Jose avoids a wild elbow strike from Bateman.
Jose manages to break the clinch.

Jose throws a right and a left that both miss.
Jose is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Bateman takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Bateman dodges the punch combination from Jose.
A counter left hand to the body from Bateman misses its target.

Bateman lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bateman.

Bateman closes the distance and scores with a big combo that sends Jose crashing to the mat! Jose uses the ropes to get back to his feet and beat the count. The referee looks concerned but he's going to allow it to continue!

The cut above Isaac Jose's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
