Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Iosef Tarasov (ranked 3230 p4p, 3865 weight class) and Arlo James (ranked 420 p4p, 476 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Iosef Tarasov has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Iosef Tarasov seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Iosef Tarasov! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arlo James! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James dives in for a single leg takedown but Tarasov sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Tarasov changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. James wants to clinch up but Tarasov keeps it at a distance. Tarasov swats away the attempt to clinch by James. Tarasov appears to be looking for a counter takedown. James jabbing away but nothing is landing. Tarasov half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. James tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Arlo James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tarasov keeps the fight on the outside. Tarasov tries to counter with a takedown but James is quick to defend against it. James throws a combination that misses and Tarasov counters with a nice double leg into guard.

A head kick by James misses and Tarasov counters with a nice double leg into side control. James won't be happy with that. God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Tarasov is stinking the place up with his stalling. A low kick from James is predictable there and Tarasov counters with a takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on James's face as Tarasov controls the position.

The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Tarasov moves to take his opponent's back. Tarasov slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

James tries to escape but Tarasov has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Tarasov biding his time, controlling James. You can see the frustration on James's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
