The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Roth throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Velasco was covering up waiting for the punch and Roth finishes the takedown easily into guard. No, Roth has managed to get both his arms back between Velasco's legs - danger averted. Velasco keeping moving, preventing Roth from controlling successfully. Roth tries to free his leg and advance position but Velasco is retaining full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Velasco is trying to get an arm triangle but Roth is defending well. Velasco is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Roth has escaped the position, nice work there. Roth is looking to reverse the position.
