The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Green drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Gaul tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Gaul looking for a sweep but Green has passed into full mount! Oh no!

Gaul wants to control but Green is having none of it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Green is looking for a choke. Gaul gets to his feet with his opponent on his back and slams him to the mat. Gaul manages to squirm out of the attempted choke and turns into his opponent's guard.

Gaul wants to control from the top but Green keeps moving.
Gaul stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Green swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Green is sitting in close to Gaul's body. Gaul has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Green is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Green is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Gaul.
