And in the blue corner, fighting out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 10 losses; Trace Mack! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Elvis Blanc.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Mack scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Chancel (0) vs (4) Mack Mack working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Chancel tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mack wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Chancel is trying to control Mack's posture but Mack avoids it. Chancel is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Funky Gym, so we'll see if he gets out of it. Mack tries for a kimura but Chancel is defending well. Mack swings around for an armbar but Chancel sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Mack's guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Chancel (2) vs (4) Mack Mack looking to sweep here. No luck so far. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chancel slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Mack escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Chancel gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chancel pushing down on Mack's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Mack looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Chancel trying to control the pace. Chancel is pressing down on Mack's thigh, looking to free his foot. Mack is holding on for now. Chancel is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Mack tries to get to full guard but Chancel has control of the leg. Mack trying to control but Chancel postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Mack bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Chancel (5) vs (6) Mack Chancel pulls Mack in close to prevent any damage. Chancel keeping moving, preventing Mack from controlling successfully. Mack is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Chancel looking to control.
Chancel lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Chancel (7) vs (6) Mack Chancel not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Chancel is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Mack has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Chancel is looking to defend but Mack has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Chancel! Mack pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Chancel taps out and this one is all over!
