Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lom Ali Maskadov (ranked 2662 p4p, 1920 weight class) and Luke Smith (ranked 185 p4p, 136 weight class). Maskadov comes to the cage accompanied by The Stata - Poisonblack. Luke Smith told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lom Ali Maskadov!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Luke Smith!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maskadov looks to clinch
and Smith makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Maskadov moves into the clinch.
Maskadov goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Maskadov lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Smith backwards.
Smith scores with a shot to the side of Maskadov's head.
Smith breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Smith misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Maskadov moves into the clinch.
Smith can't find room to land a body shot as Maskadov controls the action.
Smith breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Smith lands a slapping body shot.
A telegraphed right hand from Smith misses the target.
Smith throws an overhand right that lands on Maskadov's shoulder, as Maskadov tries to avoid the shot.
Maskadov wants to clinch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Maskadov wants to clinch
and Smith counters with a nice uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Maskadov tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Smith counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Smith looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Maskadov closes the distance looking to clinch
and Maskadov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
We've been told by Maskadov's head coaches at IMMA Gym of Elite ASS that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Smith cracks Maskadov with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Smith has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Maskadov to stand back up!
Maskadov is rocked!
It looks like Lom Ali Maskadov has been cut.
Maskadov is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Maskadov closes the distance but Smith moves to the side
and Smith counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Luke Smith!

Lom Ali Maskadov spoke after the fight, saying 'Kurva anyádat'.
